Job Description:

DUTIES
Under general supervision performs complex office duties and assumes responsibilities as directed by the general supervisor.  Maintains files of correspondence, forms, reports and other materials. Files material alphabetically or numerically or by other predetermined classification.  Make arithmetic calculations manually or by use of a calculation machine or personal computer according to established methods.  Operates personal computer, copy machine, and typewriter in tasks requiring previous training or experience in operation.  Answers telephone, receive and transmit calls and messages.  Performs specialized clerical assignments.  Prepares such materials as forms, letters, specifications, non-technical financial statements, payrolls, departmental reports, and other materials frequently requiring independent judgement. Performs related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:
Three years experience as general office clerk (or equivalent education and experience).  Good understanding of Personal Computer operating with Windows 95 and Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION:
High school graduate or GED equivalency including or supplemented by courses in typing and office procedures. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to type 50 wpm.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.
