Geographic Information Systems

Geographic information systems (GIS) are designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present spatial or geographic data.

The GIS Department develops and modifies the geographic database, performs spatial analysis, produces maps and assigns emergency 9-1-1 street addresses for Johnson County.
