OPR & Real Property Recording
The OPR & Real Property Department of the County Clerk's Office processes a multitude of records including Assumed Names (DBA), Foreclosure Sales, Livestock Marks & Brands, Military Discharge (DD214), Official Public Records, Plats, and Real Property Records in Room B15.
PLEASE BE ADVISED:
OPR & Real Property Records are recorded at our Cleburne Office and may be recorded either in person, by mail, or filed electronically for persons authorized to do so.
Pursuant to Local Government Code Sec. 195.003, the following persons may file electronic documents or other documents electronically for recording:
- an attorney licensed in this state;
- a bank, savings and loan association, savings bank, or credit union doing business under the laws of the United States or this state;
- a federally chartered lending institution, a federal government-sponsored entity, an instrumentality of the federal government, or a person approved as a mortgagee by the United States to make federally insured loans;
- a person licensed to make regulated loans in this state;
- a title insurance company or title insurance agent licensed to do business in this state;
- an agency of this state; or
- a municipal clerk.
Documents submitted for electronic filing by unauthorized persons will be rejected at the time of filing or an automatic rejection will be placed on the submitter by our e-recording vendors once our office has identified the submitter as an unauthorized person.

The Burleson Sub-Courthouse can assist qualified applicants who wish to file an Assumed Name Certificate (DBA).
Public Access Terminals are available to conduct searches of Johnson County Public Records at both locations.
