Biography
Constable Adam Crawford was born and raised in Burleson, Texas. Adam graduated BHS in 1991 and started his law enforcement career the next day as a dispatcher at the Burleson Police Department. When Adam turned 21, he continued to work full time as a dispatcher on the midnight shift and attended the police academy during the day. Upon completing his academy, Adam started with the Johnson County Constable’s Office in 1995 and has never left.
Adam started as a Deputy Constable and was promoted to Chief Deputy in 1998. In June of 2000, he took office as the elected Constable. In 2001, Adam completed the Texas Constable’s Leadership College. In 2013, he received his Master Peace Officer license. In 2020, Adam became a lifetime member of the JPCA.
In 2021, Adam was honored in the Texas House of Representatives when he was awarded the Texas Constable of The Year for his contributions to Constables and Justice of the Peace Courts throughout Texas during the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. Adam assisted Texas courts with holding remote virtual court hearings during a time when courts were shut down and developing substantially backed up dockets. To this day, many courts have continued to offer remote attendance as an option due to Adam’s efforts.
Also in 2021, Adam was appointed to the state Constable’s Education Committee which develops the curriculum and directs the Civil Process education for all Texas Constables and Deputy Constables.
Adam is currently in his 6th 4yr term as the Johnson County Precinct Two Constable and contributes much of his office’s success to his Office Manager and Deputy Constables.
